Membership Benefits

Member-Subsidized Event Pricing
BAN shall offer subsidized meal pricing to active members at all BAN-organized events. Non-members attend such events at the standard event rate, which shall be not less than one hundred fifty percent (150%) of the applicable member meal rate, subject to event-specific considerations and approval by the organizing committee.

Voting Eligibility
A BAN member and their spouse are eligible to vote in the Executive Committee (EC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) elections held within a calendar year, provided the annual membership fee is paid on or before June 30 of that year. This ensures that only active and committed members participate in BAN’s decision-making process.

Election Candidacy
Only members with a paid and active membership status are eligible to run as candidates in any BAN election. This rule helps maintain accountability and ensures that BAN leadership is selected from engaged members of the organization.

Free Bortika
BAN members receive a complimentary copy of Bortika, the organization’s official publication. Non-members may purchase Bortika at a designated price, helping to offset publication costs.

Donations and Membership Fees
Any contribution made in excess of the standard membership fee will be recorded as membership fee plus donation. Donations support BAN’s programs, events, and community services and are acknowledged separately from the membership fee.

How BAN Membership Fees Are Utilized

  • Yearly Registration & Insurance
Membership fees are used to cover annual organizational registration, compliance filings, and liability insurance. These ensure BAN operates legally, responsibly, and with appropriate protection for members, volunteers, and event participants.
  • Venue Booking
Funds are allocated to reserve and secure venues for BAN-organized events, meetings, cultural programs, and community gatherings. This includes rental fees, deposits, and related facility costs.
  • Event Organization & Awards
Membership fees help plan and execute community events, including cultural, educational, and social programs. This also covers the purchase of awards, trophies, certificates, and prizes for competitions and special recognitions.
  • Logistics & Operational Support
Fees support essential logistics such as event setup, sound systems, stage arrangements, seating, decorations, printing, transportation of supplies, and other operational needs required to run events smoothly.
